My first week in the new job is over and I have to say it went rather well. I didn't make any huge enormous mistakes or embarrass myself too badly.
My boss told me that a guy in the office told her I look about fifteen! There is nothing so flattering to a girls ego (specially one who will be thirty in less than a year) than being mistaken for half your age.
I went out for drinks with ex-colleagues from the pre traveling work place. It was very weird to see them all again. Loads of other ex-employees were there too and it was quite a reunion.
Everyone kept telling me how good I looked and how I'd lost loads of weightand looked really happy. I guess I am. I know that I lost a little weight over the past year- I'm not exactly sure how much- but I'm guessing I must have really packed on the pounds before I left if every one noticed.

Making a good impression
Thank you Bakerloo line for making me 20 minutes late for my first day at the very pink cancer charity. Luckily my new boss was nearly 2 hours late thanks to immovable traffic and so harm was kept to a minimum.
I do have to say though, what a lovely bunch of people I'm now working with even if the office is scarrily corporate.
I was presented with a personal list of aims and objectives for the next 3 months after being in the building for less than an hour. How the bloody hell will I cope? I'm used to old fashioned charities which are inept but functioning not young and thriving.
Oh well, musn't moan, after all it's good experience, and besides I have resolved to be generaly less whiney and just fucking well get on with it.
Chimminy !

YIPEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
GUESS WHO JUST GOT A NEW JOB !
ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I was at all gymnasticaly inclined I'd be doing cartwheels around the office. Yay me !!!!
To celebrate, I shall spend Friday night getting well and truly hammered. So, if you encounter an extremely happy drunk girl in the vicinity of Leicester Square around midnight, be nice, it will probably be me. . .

and now the long wait
I've had the interview. It only actually lasted about half an hour instead of the hour they predicted. I don't know weather that's good or bad. Maybe I spoke to fast?
Anyway, I'm now back at the tamp job after changing out of the suit and painful shoes and eating a really yummy chicken curry from the hot food counter at Sainsburys - god I love the hot food counter at Sainsburys!
I texted Mother Earth who is on her way to France on a walking holiday with a trio of fellow nurses. It's a bit of a strange choice, she doesn't even like walking up the road to the shops, so how she thinks she's gonna manage 10 miles a day I'm sure I don't know.
Anyway she has assured me that she will have quick word with the almighty to make sure I get the job.

fingers crossed
I have another job interview this afternoon- with another cancer charity, but this one is young and exciting and dynamic and the job looks incredibly good.
If I get it there will be loads of experience in new areas that will look fantastic on my CV and hopefully lead to more career progression.
I really want this one.

Its amazing what a little sunshine and a rise in temperature of a few degrees can do. I feel . . . . better.
